Come join a fun and educational afternoon at Dr Johnson's House this summer holiday!
Suitable for children aged 5–12, this creative writing workshop led by Pauline Chakmakjian will encourage budding authors and free-thinkers to get inside the mind of Dr Johnson, while hearing more about his famous dictionary, weird and wonderful words, and even his pet cat Hodge!
You'll spend an hour on a Sunday afternoon with some short writing exercises to help create stories using characters, setting and structure.
There will be a few writing prompts provided to assist with this, and maybe you'll even see the invention of some new words to add to the dictionary!
Writing materials and pencils will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own special notebook or journal and pencils!
Time: Sunday 16 August 2–3pm
Tickets: Book in advance or turn up on the day. The workshop is included in admission.
