An extraordinary steel, machine-like structure, its central block of offices is hidden by a collection of services attached to the outside of the building. These steel pipes, ducts and towers protrude and snake dramatically around the structure.
Today, Lloyd's is based in an award-winning building in Lime Street, London (Winner of the RIBA Regional Award 1988). But the insurance market has been housed in a number of different buildings during its 330-year history.
