Join acclaimed classicists Mary Beard and Charlotte Higgins as they bring their hit podcast Instant Classics to life at Guildhall Art Gallery

In this special live edition, the pair explore what life was really like in Ancient Roman Londinium, from cheering gladiators to gossiping in the baths, and reveal how the Roman world continues to shape modern London.

Set in the Grade I listed Guildhall, this one-of-a-kind evening combines history, humour, and lively debate from two of the UK’s leading voices in Antiquity. Discover how the Romans built the foundations - literally and culturally - of today’s capital.

Produced by Vespucci in collaboration with the City of London Corporation and the Culture Mile BID, this event offers an illuminating and entertaining look at the city’s ancient past.

Time: Tuesday 25 November, 6:30 to 8pm.
