Try your hand at something new in a space where history was made
In this fun session, you’ll learn the art of quill writing and letter folding.
The workshop will be led by Liz Ison, editor of A Literary Letter for Every Day of the Year, who will give a short talk on letter writing and what you might find in an 18th-century letter writing manual. Tea and biscuits included.
Bring a stamp! You'll be directed to the nearest postbox on Fleet Street to post your letter.
This drop-in session is included in your admission fee to the house. Families are very welcome, though children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
The workshop will run throughout the afternoon, with talks starting on the hour at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.
Time: Sunday 4 October 12–4pm
Tickets: The workshop is included in admission and you can book entrance tickets in advance or on the day.
