Second Saturday – Family Activities at Guildhall Art Gallery in October

Book your free slot

Create a collaged monster from artworks that span history and add it to our safari park scene.

For October's Second Saturday, as part of the Art History Festival, we'll be looking back through time to create something brand new from collaged artworks and mixed materials:

11am–4pm: Creative Activities

Take inspiration from art through time to create your own art history inspired monster to add to our Art Monster Safari Park. Will yours combine medieval creatures, surrealist animals, Egyptian animal-human hybrids, or the elements from the artworks around you?

11am & 2pm: Story Time

Gather round for lively storytelling sessions full of imagination, art, creativity and tales inspired by London and the City.

There will also be a book corner with cushions, costumes, and soft play building bricks.

Admission

All activities are free. Booking is recommended to help the Gallery prepare enough materials for everyone, but walk-ins are always welcome.

Entry to Guildhall Art Gallery is free, with galleries to explore, fascinating artworks to discover and the remains of London's Roman Amphitheatre to visit. You're welcome to bring a packed lunch to enjoy in Guildhall Yard or in the Gallery's spacious cloakroom area.

Suitable for children aged 3 to 13 and their families. These sessions are designed for families and are not suitable for unaccompanied adults.

Sign up to the family mailing list to be the first to hear about upcoming events.
